ACLS Class Schedule

The guiding principle for our classes is: Nurses have enough stress in their lives, they don’t need it in the classroom.

All our courses are approved by the American Heart Association.

There is a textbook for each course which you should buy either prior to the classes or on the day of the class. The textbooks are authorized by the American Heart Association (AHA) and they follow AHA guidelines.

If you are interested in group classes, we can organize all the courses in your facilities anywhere.

BLS certification San Diego covers cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) for patients of all ages. The abbreviation stands for Basic Life Support and this course can be attended by healthcare professionals, students training to become medical professionals and laypeople who would like to learn CPR skills for occupational or other reasons.

The aim is to learn how to recognize a cardiac arrest and how to respond to it properly. On top of the CPR procedure, the course also covers the use of an automated external defibrillator (AED).

ACLS certification San Diego builds on the skills covered by a BLS course applied to adult victims. Its full name is Advanced Cardiac Life Support and the course is intended for healthcare professionals of all profiles.

An ACLS certificate states that its holder has the skills to recognize and properly respond to cardiac arrest and cardiopulmonary emergencies both in the hospital setting and outside of it. The course covers not only the techniques, but also medication therapy and resuscitation devices.

PALS certification San Diego is very similar to ACLS, but it focuses on cardiopulmonary emergencies in children. The abbreviation stands for Pediatric Advanced Life Support. The course can be attended by healthcare professionals of all profiles.

A PALS certificate means that the holder knows how to recognize and respond to cardiopulmonary emergencies in children by using CPR techniques and devices, as well as proper medication, which are adapted to the specificities of young victims.

NPR certification San Diego covers CPR in neonates. The attendees should be healthcare professionals who are involved in direct patient care of neonates. To structure of the course is specific and requires the students to take an online examination of lessons they cover by themselves before attending an NPR Interactive Course.

This course aims to teach students how to respond to cardiopulmonary neonatal emergencies in the delivery room.

If you are not a healthcare professional, but you would like to acquire some life support skills, BLS classes are for you. The skills taught include victims of all ages and don’t require any special equipment, so they can be applied in any setting. If an automated external defibrillator is available, you will also learn how to use it in this course.

If you are a healthcare professional, all the courses are available to you. As a new RN or Doctor the first course will always be Basic Life Support (BLS) since you have to administer that first. If the patient can't be revived then it’s time to move to Advanced Life Support (ACLS) for Adults or Pediatric Life Support (PALS) for Children.

If you love babies the Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) is for you. With large budget cuts for hospital funding most hospitals are looking to hire personnel that has all four of the cards. This helps them move nurses to different departments when they get overcrowded instead of having to bring in a nurse to work and having to pay overtime, which is usually double the hourly rate.
